What is Deals Rummy?
Deals Rummy is a fast-paced, skill-based 13-card Indian Rummy variant played over a fixed number of deals. Each player starts with a set number of chips, and the aim is to accumulate the least number of points by the end of all deals. The player with the lowest total score wins the game.Rules of Deals Rummy
- Deck & Cards:
-Played with 1 standard deck including printed jokers.
-Each of the two players is dealt 13 cards at the beginning of every deal. - Objective:
-Arrange all 13 cards into valid sequences and sets.
-A valid declaration requires at least 2 sequences, with one pure sequence being mandatory. - Gameplay:
-Players take turns to draw a card from either the closed deck or the open discard pile, and discard one card each turn.
-Players must manually manage and organise their hand.
-The game continues until a player makes a valid declaration or until penalty conditions are triggered. - Jokers:
-Printed jokers can be used to form impure sequences or sets, but not pure sequences. - Declaration:
-A valid declaration includes:- At least one pure sequence
- One or more valid sequences or sets
- Scoring:
Face cards (J, Q, K, A) = 10 points each
Number cards = face value
Maximum score per deal is capped at 80 points
Game Formats
Choose how intense you want the match to be:- 1 Round:
One quick round. Fast and thrilling. - 2 Rounds:
Two exciting rounds. A tie-breaker kicks in if scores match. - 3 Rounds:
Three full rounds for a deeper, more strategic game.
Chips & Points
- Chips are used to track scores.
- 1 chip = 1 point
- At the end of all deals, the player with the lowest total chips (points) is declared the winner.
Turn Penalty:
If a player quits or skips their turn, they are penalised with 80 points for that deal.Tips to Win
- Start with a Pure Sequence: Secure the foundation early.
- Use Jokers Smartly: Complete high-point combinations quickly.
- Discard High-Value Cards Early: Minimise penalty if the opponent declares.
